Longline Cardigans

I’ve been focusing a lot on jackets over the last while. Since some of us prefer knits over jackets, I decided to give longline cardigans some time in the spotlight as well. I am including some tips about how to style your cardi, as well as links to buy them from our local South African retailers.

My favourite way of wearing a longline cardigan is with my skinny jeans, but they also look fabulous over a fitted dress.

Fitted clothing items always look best under a long cardigan. Avoid baggy tops, poofy skirts and wide-leg pants under your long cardi 😉

You can elevate your look by wearing a belt over your cardigan. It will help define your waist and keep your cardigan closed up if it doesn’t have buttons.

If you are self-conscious about your tummy area, don’t wear a belt. Also wear the same colour top and bottom underneath your cardigan. It will visually elongate your body and make you look slimmer.
